Visionary Leadership As The Key To School Advancement

Abstract

Visionary leadership is one of the important factors in improving the quality and progress of schools. The principal, as an educational leader, has the responsibility to direct all components of the school in order to achieve educational goals effectively and sustainably. This study aims to describe the role of visionary leadership in promoting school progress, the characteristics of visionary principals, and its impact on improving the quality of education. The research method used is library research by reviewing various sources such as books, scientific journals, and articles related to educational leadership. The results of the study indicate that visionary leadership is able to create a positive school culture, improve the quality of learning, encourage educational innovation, and enhance school achievement. Visionary principals are also able to build good cooperation with teachers, students, and the community so that a conducive educational environment can be created. It can be concluded that visionary leadership plays a vital role in improving school quality by fostering innovation, strengthening school culture, and enhancing educational outcomes. Therefore, this review confirms that visionary leadership serves as a strategic driver of sustainable school development through innovation, collaborative culture, and continuous improvement.
